Citation Location of the medial bank of the rostral suprasylvian sulcus (MRSS). The suprasylvian sulcus (opened and shaded gray) is located on the lateral surface of the ferret cortex. The MRSS is bordered by SI cortex (medially), and auditory cortices (laterally) and extends posteri- orly to the level of the caudal most extent of the pseudosylvian sulcus (gray arrow). Visual areas AMLS and ALLS are located caudally. The anterior sulcal region has not been studied. The location of the MRSS is also indicated by the gray shaded areas on the coronal sections. AI primary auditory region, AAF anterior auditory Weld, ADF anterior dor- sal Weld, AVF anterior ventral Weld, LRSS lateral bank of the rostral suprasylvian sulcus, PPr posterior parietal rostral, SI primary somato- sensory area, SII secondary somatosensory area, SIII third somatosen- sory area
